It is a new cottage garden this is its 2nd year prior to that it was a very old worn out shrubbery. the photos dont really do it jutice there is quite alot that cannot be seen. anyway hope you enjoy.

You cant really see it properly as I said, but I have lots of roses like Grace Penny Lane Crcus rose Falstaff, they looked amazing when the delphs were out, and in amongst that potentilla Miss willmot, and I put clematis growing up the 2 shrubs I left. and now the dahlias are out although today has been a nightmare with the wind, and the dogs ill again, OMG what a day......

Hello Lily2, I think it is called sussex or kent, I prune it really hard and it always come back, the garden looks even better now the dahlias are out. I have a Lily rose grand daughter pretty name. x

Lovely planting ... no wonder you're a winner! In the last pic ... bottom right ... are those Alliums please? I have some that look similar but they're taking an age to colour up! I guess that's just their habit? .......

Hi Patricia, I had one in my last garden called 'Surrey', very similar. I must look out for them as I seem to be getting interested in roses again. Lily is a very popular name now but I hated having it as my middle name when I was a child. Lily Rose is a lovely name :o)

shirley tulip, yes they are a form of alium, they do take ages to colour up, particulary if they are not in full sun, but they attract the bees. so I like them, I am trying to be bee friendly. x
