You cant really see it properly as I said, but I have lots of roses like Grace Penny Lane Crcus rose Falstaff, they looked amazing when the delphs were out, and in amongst that potentilla Miss willmot, and I put clematis growing up the 2 shrubs I left. and now the dahlias are out although today has been a nightmare with the wind, and the dogs ill again, OMG what a day......

Lovely planting ... no wonder you're a winner! In the last pic ... bottom right ... are those Alliums please? I have some that look similar but they're taking an age to colour up! I guess that's just their habit? .......

Hi Patricia, I had one in my last garden called 'Surrey', very similar. I must look out for them as I seem to be getting interested in roses again. Lily is a very popular name now but I hated having it as my middle name when I was a child. Lily Rose is a lovely name :o)

shirley tulip, yes they are a form of alium, they do take ages to colour up, particulary if they are not in full sun, but they attract the bees. so I like them, I am trying to be bee friendly. x
