We've decided that it isn't going to stop raining so will sort out the front porch this afternoon. Any day now the existing one will have its top half removed and replaced. So everything needs to come out of ready for Mark, along with his assistant Mr MB to tackle.

I think I must suffer from SAD I absolutely hate wind and rain and the dark, my dogs have the hump too even tho I have made them a lovely bed on the sofa, its a dogs life!!!!

Hi Patricia...
Likewise...my dogs don't approve of the wind and rain!
On Friday I used all my rainwater from butts and dustbins for pressure-cleaning my drive and paths.. Lots and lots of rainwater... The paths are now hopefully clean, and safe from anyone slipping over in the winter.
So, the rainwater didn't cost me anything on my water meter bill... and now this weekend's rain is filling up my water butts again... for free...Lol.

My cat has been in all day hates getting his paws wet! I cannot get in the garden as its been heavy rain most of the day, but I keep thinking of the 2 reservoirs not far from here filling up then it does not seem so bad.

Yes, the reservoirs filling up is a plus point to the heavy rain.... even if your cat does not agree... Lol. :o)

Our girls are sprawled in front of the multi fuel stove. Neither of them really minds getting wet, which surprised me, Pip will come back in and shake herself like a dog... yup all over Mr MB & myself if she can manage it - or climb on our laps and dry herself off that way.

Well I did manage to get the boys out, now they are sprawled on the sofa, and I am relegated to the floor once again!!! happy gardening all.

It poured and poured all day here....had a moat round the lawn at one point......at 5pm the sky cleared and the sun came out.....then the moon.....and the wind......ugh........

The view out of our window is rather different to that of last night. Water were there shouldn't be water because the local burn has burst its banks. There are houses flooded and road chaos all across the north east, glad that I don't have to go anywhere.
Hope that Altzheimer is OK. Her area has been hit much worse than ours.

The rain here stopped earlier on and we now have blue skies, very high winds though.
It'll be far, far too wet to go outside unfortunately so ..... i'm reading my gardening magazines, that OH bought me yesterday, and trying not to go stir-crazy :-)
