Is this the big sister to "Tumbling Ted"?
28 Jul, 2009
No, it's quite different from 'Tumbling Ted'! It's about 2' tall and stands up straight, it also spreads by rhizomes. I can't believe that they are both 'Saponaria'!

Sorry...I meant big....as in tall Spritz. I did have one a few years ago and was warned that it was a "spreader"....I planted the pot in the ground and it just shot away...........it had to go :(

Oooops! Mine is under control at the moment, but I never know from year to year exactly where the new stems are going to be!

It's a good'un. Mamagem - could you grow it over there?

Yes Spritz, I do have the right zone for it. Why, do you have some seeds? I am always looking for new ones. It is very nice. Does it have a nice scent? I plant my scented flowers close to the doors so you get a nice smell as you walk in or out.

I don't even know whether it produces seeds, Mamagem, but I'll make a special point of looking this year! I don't think it has a scent, though. :-(
