Just been looking at some of your pictures Anita, you have a absolutely gorgeous garden, immaculate, must take a lot of hard work to keep it like this.

This combination looks very effective. The tall shrub right of centre stands out because of the dark colour and shape - what is it called and do you have to trim it much? Even the bee has grown very well in your garden - does it have a name too?

Thankyou Gardeningfriend! The shrub is Physocarpus 'Diablo' - it is cut down to about 3' in the Spring - it is a lovely shrub to have because of the colour and shape of the leaves.
The Bee is called 'Busy' (smile smiley)

Anita - Thank you for the additional infornation - I am sure this lovely shrub will be a future addition to my garden, don't worry though I will be buying my own. You have Busy Bee and I have a visitor to my garden I call Buzzby - his photo is no longer on my site - Buzzby is a buzzard.

My son had a Budgie when he was young - it was called Busby and lived to the ripe old age of 11 !

I have seen Buzzby three times today in my garden - but don't tell anyone else on here - some think I should protect the bunnies. I didn't mind protecting them when they were babies but next they will be having baby bunnies themselves and I will be over run and poor Buzzby would go hungry. This has nothing to do with me getting upset about the bunnies eating my plants you understand. Oh well such is nature but it would be so much easier with a budgie and meat eating bunnies.
