Thanks - Dawn, it was here when we came...so I take no credit for it! They are apparently good for seaside gardens.

Oh this is so lovely Spritz.Might try to grow one here then !

I do love it, Bb/Jane, even tho' it's staked because it fell over in the gales 2 years ago...:-(

Do you like it though Sprirtz?
Maybe no good for me then :-(
I probably live as far from the sea as you can get.
30 Jul, 2009
Love it too !
30 Jul, 2009
I lOVE it! That's why we rescued it! I'd plant another one if this one died off.

Whooops our messages must have crossed - sooooo we all love it!!!

It's not compulsory to live by the sea Dawn, it's just that it will survive the salty air if it's exposed to it.

LOL !

That's good then Toto - so I dont need to move house just so that I can have one :-)))

You don't need to put Pickfords on standby Dawn.
30 Jul, 2009
Great stuff, used Pickfords in the past, that's why I'm so poor these days - by the way, does your nurse come free of charge Toto - well at the expense of tax payers.

He's about the only thing that the judge said I had to have which I don't pay for.
30 Jul, 2009
Pleased the Judge took some pity on you.

Ive missed something I think.......what nurse............
30 Jul, 2009
Oh Milky, hasnt Toto told you ... he has a male nurse to care for him when he mis-behaves ... apparently, lol
30 Jul, 2009
LOL.
30 Jul, 2009
You knew, didn't you Spritz, about the nurse? Or is he just spinning me a tale.
I see the girl power is back on track! Toto only has Ray and Ray doesnt always appear for him, lol.

I wonder if that would grow here in Zone 3?
4 Aug, 2009
How cold is that? It is fully hardy here in the UK, but it's native to SE Europe and Asia, so I have a few doubts.
4 Aug, 2009
I had thses in my other garden and they always remind me of the seaside.
5 Aug, 2009
we can get about -30 degrees celcius in the winter. It depends on the season.Sometimes it's a warmer Winter. We can get a lot of cold wind.
6 Aug, 2009
I had to leave a tamarisk behind when I moved house...it was a lovely shrub to call mine for a few years.
6 Aug, 2009
Rhodea, I suspect that it wouldn't like the cold wind, I'm afraid. :-(
Fluff - do you have room for another one?
6 Aug, 2009
Okay thanks.
8 Aug, 2009
Not really Spritz...my garden is stuffed as it is! But thank you if you were offering! My brother moved into my old house so at least I still see it now & again.
8 Aug, 2009
That's nice - at least he's not likely to uproot everything...is he?
8 Aug, 2009
No he's all for leaving things alone...which is why the house is falling down...!

Lovely sky, lovely pic and lovely Tamarisk. I've never had one but something I've always wanted. Are they easy to grow Spritz?
