Is it like a bamboo, Amy, and does it spread quickly?

It is like a bamboo Gee , and it does spread , not to quickly it creates a nice screen from one area to another in the summer months , it needs cutting down late autumn , then you can use the canes to support plants etc. next year ..... I could break a peice off in the autumn if you wanted some !

Thanks, Amy, but I think it may be too big for my small garden. I do like it though :)
