This is lovely Deida. Even your fungii looks healthy besides the cyclamen. I've got the dreaded honey fungii coming up around my old tree stump.

John cut a biggish ash tree down about 5 years ago leaving the stump which must be 18 inches in diameter. The last few years fungii (mushroomey things) have grown around the base and along where the old roots run, I probably collect a couple of barrowful loads each autumn

Its horrid Deida, they go all slimey if you dont get them up.

Oooh Deida - I love fungi!! This one looks like an oyster mushroom, which is edible - but please don't take my word for it!! Just in case!! lol

Thought you might like this pic..yes these look like Oyster mushrooms..had a good look but could,t find any pearls lol
I also love fungi..I think Chanterelle's are delecious.the penny bun is also very tasty..when I was a little girl I used to pick a lot of wild mushrooms..was great fun.

The cyclamen is lovely, Deida, what a lovely surprise for you. I always think the fungi looks like fairy steps leading up the tree trunk :)

lots of fungi on the tree stump. In spring I dumped this dead cyclamen,
forgot it was there..and just look, a new life in July,loves the shade against the tree stump
