Thats the one Spritz. The best summer ever, back to back sun. I went on holiday with my parents and I remember there were so many ladybirds (dead) they were sweeping them up along the sea front.

Aaaaaaaah... What a shame! We had a small caravan and took the children to a site in Devon. It was soooo sad to see fully-grown trees dying in the heat!

1976 was the year I decided to walk the Grand Union Canal from Birmingham to Brentford for my summer holiday - phew, it was hot! Parts of the canal had been drained as a source of extra water
