it couldn,t have landed in a better place Eileen .I
I have to tell you that they have had an invasion of Ladybirds on our coast , it was so bad that it is effecting the tourist trade as people don,t want to get out of their cars , they have been walking on them and crushing them underfoot .. your little one has had a lucky escape !

I've had a few on my balcony & I've seen a few around town in the last few weeks. I was wondering, while the little creature was crawling over my hand, just how the Harlequin ladybird can be distinguished from our native species?
I am remembering, while I write this, a documentary on Ladybirds perhaps last year. It may have been on the BBC but I can't recall now. I had no idea there were so many species of them!
