Thanks Sanra :o) Yeah, I don't quite have room for a collection yet but there were loads to choose from. This is actually quite a bit darker than the website showed but it seems quite happy sheltered by this wall which silhouettes it well.

i have to hide mine from the wind here. a friend of mine down here specializes in them. when we go to plant sales in the autumn her stall looks so good with all the colours.

That's a great acer Peter. Is it in ground now or are you keeping it contained? By the way I noted and am enjoying the changes to the web site.

I'm keeping it in the pot for now, it seems quite happy and as we're in a rented house it means it can come with us if we need to move.

I love Acers, Japanese Maples, but I don't have room for one on my balcony.
In a park in the town centre here they have some very nice ones. :)
