Butterfly on Erigeron 'Azure Fairy'

Can someone tell me which butterfly this is ?
It wasn't hanging around very long for me to get a good shot so i just snapped and hoped for the best !

Looks very pretty on the underside.It is one of the 'blues' I think,possibly the 'common blue'. Not that common with us unfortunately !

I've just looked there Grindle and Aster's right, it IS one of the blues but to my inexperienced eye i don't know which one.
I think you'd need to see outer side and its size to be more precise.
We get a lot of these here Aster.

I have - but only in the lanes and fields. I've had a large creamy-yellow one I don't recognise in the garden - so I'll check out the link. Thanks!
I think it may be a male Brimstone...he won't settle so I can take his photo, though!

SpritzH....the male Brimstone is bright yellow - unmistakable. The female is creamy with an orange spot on her wing....rapid flyer. Don't hang around to say cheese. lol

I think it must have been the female, then. I've seen the bright yellow ones in the fields...never in the garden.

I've seen a strange butterfly today too...have taken a quick snap but not downloaded yet...Oh checked on web and it looks like a "Wall"....will post it when i download it....
