Sorry there were a pair here today and the female was busy laying eggs as he sunned himself - sounds right doesnt it ladies ? Female is all green will post a pic to show difference.

Brilliant photo, just look at those lovely glistening wings.

LOL that does sound about right for a male, laying about doing nothing.

Just put the female pic on Clarice - they were locked in a rather indelicate position together X rated stuff sweet in a heart shaped position .. he he didnt think Id get too many disagreements with that Clarice.. x

Thanks Amy torn between their beauty and knowing the larvae are voracious and will eat most of the frog spawn ..but then the water boatmen eat the larvae...sounds like war in the pond doesnt it ?

Fabulous pic Bb anmd fabulous Dragonfly....they really are amazing flyers, we had one yesterday flying up and down the garden, love the way they can turn direction in half a second.....:o)
