When she had a visit to the vet last year he estimated her to be between 80-100 years old. She weights approx 7lb and eats a far greater variety of plants than the other two, her favourites are hibiscus and hardy geranium flowers (when she can reach them). That's why there is not many low growing colourful flowers in my garden :)

Yes, it is, Clarice (and there's nothing wrong with your spelling). The two girls will hibernate but Little 'Un will spend the winter under a lamp in my dining room again :)

Oh a bit bigger than the one i looked after recently, my friend took 'him' to the vets to get nails clipped and apparently rather than a Theo she's a Theona LOL!!!! Only about 3 years old and grown a lot, there are some pics on one of my blogs (called babysitting!) in case you havent seen them Gee

Gee , I have added a photo on for you to see of a Leopard spot Egyptian Tortoise , it's at the bottom of my blog ... The Naked Gardeners ...
They are extinct in the wild , this one was born in nov. 2003 , it's quite big ... :o)

Thanks, Amy - I've just seen your additional photo. They do grow to quite a size, 80lb or more I believe!
