I have asked too Morgana....it would just give the edge...wouldn't it....

It would but it seems like to much trouble from their answer, you could have thumbs up which on another site would be {Y} a little devil :] a wink, which I'm sure Toto would use a lot with the ladies ;) and flowers {F} picture of a birthday cake {BC} these would all add a bit of extra humour.

I would have thought they would be easy to download from "specialist" sites...images that you could just "click" on rather than using a code..?

Yes so would I, I will ask my grandson, he'll know.

Lovely ...Is the red one a water-lily type?.....:>)
3 Oct, 2009
It is indeed a waterlily type called Taratahi Ruby ..

I like the pale pink and peach ones :-)
What's the difference between a Cactus and Semi Cactus and which are those two i mentioned ??
3 Oct, 2009
The peach one in the middle is a small semi cactus and I think the diff between these and the cactus is that the middle petals are shorter and slightly broader (this one is Barton Memory...its in the Halls book) The pale pink cactus (top right, above the red one? ) their petals are narrow and all the same This one is Kiwi Gloria (again in Halls Book). Its classed as a white, suffused with pink. Tel will be able to give you a better description of the differences.

I see.
By the way, i've been trying to decide what i fancy from the Halls brochure !!
Have/will you ordered anything ?
3 Oct, 2009
Its difficult isn't it. It would have been better if you could visit their dahlia trial beds and choose from there......but its a long way to come in'it.........I haven't ordered anything yet. We were supposed to be going over to the trial gardens but Brian being poorly put the kybosh on that....don't know if we will get. I'm not sure if I will be ordering this season...I have all these plants already and no where to put them next year.......no allotment yet. If you want any of the Kiwi's i.e. Gloria, Trelyn, Deborah's....I can let you have cuttings in the spring...
