Hibiscus seedpod?

Hibiscus seedpod? (Hibiscus syriacus (Gurhul))

My hibiscus shrub has stopped flowering and I have noticed a couple of these now. I presume they are seedpods. Should I leave them on the bush to ripen or pick now? I have never noticed them in previous years.

Let them ripen on the shrub Gee. You will be able to harvest what you want and they may even self set in the ground around the plant. Mine do.

I've had this shrub for about 6 years, Toto, and never noticed them before!
