Late Autumn Across the Valley

Late Autumn Across the Valley

Sorry for the line field this clearing was made for, I was trying to catch the snow contrasting with the fall, so wonderful. You can see why this is called Black Spruce too. I'll save more snow for later.

Beautiful, the trees look fantastic.

Thanks. I love the snow in the spruce, they get so dark and the snow so crisp. A stand like this especially with those leaning ones mean mossy boggy land. But magical looking at it. :-)

Thank you. Colors lately have been wonderful.

Aleyna, we often wear sturdy rubber boots for walking, this is probably very damp ground smothered in grass and moss. Also, still near town, the property may be large, but the owner is likely to come hunting me with a gun if I were to stray out there.....lol. Its hunting season so he'd be all eyes watching for trespassers right now. These spots are nice walks though, where you can.

ewww. I always forget about the hunters... :S,
I'll tell you a funny story
my dad was a hunter, and used to bring me with him in his trips to hunt...
so, the dog and myself run as freely as could be, while dad looked for the partridges... when one taken up flight he fired the shot gun... very often over our heads...(mine and the dog ... :o))... so his advice was... when you see the partridge taking up flying you have to squat ...

this last trip to Torres with my husband i was trying to take a picture of a SabiĆ” (bird) close to the pond and one partridge flyed up just from my right foot...
instinctivelly I squated... waiting for the crack of the gun... lol

Call the owner before a walk in those lands... :o)

Lol, great story! What a great time spent with your father it sounds too.

We have a lot of hunters here, but sadly many are lazy and hunt close to town on people's property like here. So the landowners get very wary of trespassers. I would warn him, or just drive out into the state park to hike a trail, wearing bright orange of course. ;-)
