Thanks Morgana, Irish and Hollyeves - this is a beautiful part of our capital city. The Southbank is a fantastic place for a wander - it's right beside the Brisbane river and covers around 17 hectares of inner city land. This bougainvillea covered walkway stretches for about 1 kilometre.

Having just visited this area again this last week or so, I can definitely say it's one of the best places to visit if you ever get to Brisbane here in Queensland. Walking through Southbank is delightful.

It looks fantastic would love a stroll along there.

Thanks everyone for your comments - this is a spectacular inner city area ... right across the river from our capital city's CBD and it's a very popular place every day and night of the week.

Assuming those are spotlights hanging, this must be even more delightful at night as well?...I want to walk through it too =D

It is a beautiful spot at night Floralhead - those spotlights are quite soft really, not like the usual bright glary ones you get in the streets. The Brisbane river is right next to this parkland area and is a magnificent sight at night as well.
