Thanx every 1 i inherited this with my garden & think its Gorgeous :) Its was only 2ft when i moved in & i wanted it 2 be Taller&Fuller so i Trimmed it carefully in Places to make it fill out & its also reached agood 5ft this Summer :)

Lovely Jacque. Just in case you didn't already know, the correct name of this shrub is "Leycesteria formosa" it is also known as Himalayan Honeysuckle or Pheasant Berry. The small fruits are edible and taste like caramel.

I have gotb this in my garden and the birds love it when the berries are on them.
My brother has it in his garden and it has grown to about 8 feet high,mine are about 7 feet tall in places.We've got about 5 of these against our 6 ft fence and it stops the little oiks from next door peering over looking into our garden.
They all have done quite well, we even out one near our large compost heap to hide it and the shrub has served its purpose.

Hi Hijuju this was already in my garden when i moved into my home back in 2007 but it was only 24inchs high ,But its now a good 5 foot which im plezd about :)
