Green grass in June.

When the garden was still green(apart from the patch in the grass that I had seeded) We've had such little rain and so much wind here in Essex that this was the last time the front garden looked green. It's now brown and wind beaten.

Lovely to see green grass. Mine is still green but that's because there's hardly any grass, mostly weeds

Yes, we too have had rain(or drizzle at least) yesterday and today (some harder bursts today as well) looks like more tomorrow morning as well!! But Thursday and Friday look like being nice days. So, hopefully the grass would have started to grow again and I'll be able to work. It's been dreadful. So dry for weeks , I've got some customers whose grass i haven't mowed for 9 weeks and now it's rained for 2 days (probably 3 with tomorrow) so I still can't work. This is the worst year I've had in the 5 I've been doing gardening for a living!

I have a friend who does gardening... mostly mowing... and he is in much the same situation as you, Paul... not easy...

Yes, I'm hoping the warm weather which is forecast for next week(mini indian summer) the weather forecaster on London tonight(yesterday) called it, combined with last week's rain will make the grass have a little swan song and put on a bit of growth toi give me something to do for the next couple of weeks. Mine has started to grow a little and green up a lot!
