huernia is what i found first San but now i have four names....orbia....caralluma and stapelia just to add to this mystery....thanks for your help;-))

yes it is Tt. its not that strong a smell. the bueaty outdoes its fragrance.

Ah, fond memories. I had this (now called Orbea variegata) as a kid. It's sometimes called the Starfish Cactus. Not remotely related to the true Cacti of course but the flower does look like a starfish.
