Thanks Eggbox and Morgana - I'm quickly becoming a big fan of these flowers. The colours are amazing and so is their form.

I was thinking of getting a few more - yep, you've talked me into it! I'll blame you when hubbie asks why there's another box turning up in the mail.

lmao you carry on you can blame me to hubby I don't mind at all he he I have been blamed for a lot worse of things I have nt done and lets face it it would take him a long journey to get to me he he ha ha . I'll just make sure I never land on the shores of Australia

Probably a good idea Morgana - LOL - he can be a grumpy old man sometimes!! Actually he's not that bad! He rather likes the way the garden's going - but we don't have a bottomless bucket of dosh for it so sometimes he does question whether we need so many plants in the garden. My reply - of course WE do!

Of course you do you are adding your carbon foot print he he. I would then throw it back on him, I would say if you was not so crumpy to live with, I would nt need another outlet he he ha ha.

This is the first year I've grown them Louise and I'm now a huge fan. I've just just looking at the catalogue and drooling over my next purchases! It's too hard though - too many to choose from and not enough room for them!

The natural light you get over there makes photographing these 'so' much better than in the light we get :-(
This one looks just dreamy !!

Yes I think you're right about the light - this was taken in morning light. I tend to take all my photos either early in the morning or late in the afternoon, as the light during the rest of the day is so strong and bright it tends to wash out a lot of the colour.

Yes I'm hooked now Pitta - not sure where the next lot are going to go though! Just been through all your photos on your website today - didn't add any comments though as I was just enjoying the photos. You have some great plants - loved the ferns, loved your daylily, loved the rainforest photos and the bird photos. Great stuff.
