Querky but I love it is this the flower is this hardy

It is Morgana ... I was surprised to see them plant lots of these along a wall at our local supermarket , they have been there for several year now and are approx. 7 /8 ft tall and survive all the winters ........

Cor yes deary cacklle cackle....he he he very Morgana Amy is right...they are really hardy and if left can grow like triffids........

Milky i've got one of these they are as tough as old boots as the saying goes, i keep cutting mine down every spring as its in my front garden, near the footpath.

Morgana....does he make em in his shed? Is thsat what he does down there? Clarice....Yes they are very tough and need cutting back to keep them in check...

I'm always fascinated that something that looks so exotic is so hardy. I must take a look at mine - I dont think its as spectacular as your's Maureen, how could it possibly be.

Yes it is exotic looking Dawn, I think its the leaf shape, and the high shine it always has.....I dont know how old this one is as it was here before me, but I have really cut it back hard and its not suffered at all....

They grow quite a trunk, dont they. You can take cuttings easily too - well my Mum can :-)

I love mine. It was the first plant I bought and although not a fan at the time of evergreens, I really like the shape and form of this plant and its leaves. Very hardy too!

I had a fatsia in the other garden and I slashed it back every year. It grew enormous. It didn't seem to mind the cold winters. The hoverflies liked the flowers.

Yes Lindak....its always got lots of hoverflys arround it, and the bees love it too.

I have one of these next to the pond, I never knew what it was until now!

This year is the first time it has had these flower (?) things on the top of it. Hoping that it gets to be a large plant.

Oh it will Busylizzy.....I have to cut mine back severely ever couple of years...
