Love broadleaf woodland ..we surrounded by conifer plantations with just isolated pockets just dont get the same autumnal feel in them ..Sunday not good forecast be interesting to see an after shot Arlene ..

~ yes! what would we do without them!very badly!
That 's if it isn't too wet to get in there BB~occasionally when the winds are really high we can hear the branches creaking and groaning~ When I see Harv standing listening, time to make a sharp exit!often branches down.

Sorry I missed this and the bird and squirrel photos when you posted them. All nice pictures! I like this one a lot, would love to walk here when the weather is good.

~you are not likely to meet anything more dangerous than a fox or squirrel here so it is a nice relaxing place to be normally~ however today it was blowing really hard and the trees were swaying about 10 feet at the top plus the rain has made the leaves really slippery~roll on Spring! It is lovely when the bluebells are out~

I like it very much even without the bluebells. By the way, I am 'way impressed with your huge squirrels, our little brown pine squirrels are not even half that big. I like squirrels; they seem to have a sense of humor. Sorry that the heron stole the fish from your water features. We have them here too, but we also have raccoon marauders too.

We had 25 to 45 mile and hour winds yesterday with a temperature of 8 degrees (-13 over there) Tomorrrow is supposed to be colder but the wind has died down so it won't seem as cold. Good day to cozy-down by the fire and work on my quilt. In fact, I welcome bad weather days just for that reason!
