Bscott - they will eat insects, reptiles, small mammals, birds and birds' eggs. I think the lace monitors actually eat more birds and eggs than other goannas.

Ahh, i didn't realise these are the same as Goannas.

Will they push through your fencing or do you manage to keep out all the unwanted wildlife quite well ?

Louise, yes we commonly refer to these lovelies as goannas ... there's no chance of keeping them out. They will find a space somewhere or climb up a tree to gain access ... there's really no way of stopping the wildlife from getting in as we're surrounded by bush and the property is on the side of a hill so it's almost impossible to have the fencing all the way to the ground.
