I dont think it will Simbad....its under the lean~to, but its quite cold at night now, and unfortunately is 7 feet tall...Too tall for the greenhouse, and too big to get indoors........Not without a severe cut back.....

Oh what a shame :-(

Yes...but I may be lucky......Just as long as the frost holds off everything crossed......

Hope it does manage to flower milky, maybe if the frosts arrive you could cut it back to fit your g/h ?

Could always put some fleece on it at night Milky. It's a handsome plant!!

Davey once the frosts do arrive it will be cut back and put away..... Paul.....I tried a yellow one with fleece under the lean~to , and sadly lost it so I wouldnt chance this one.......I shall just see how the weather goes and hope the flower makes it in time.....

We are all willing it to flower this weekend (give it a little tomato fertiliser)

Ha ha......did that this morning Davey......Friday has always been my "feed day"........

I used to cut my one back and put in a frost free greenhouse for the winter. I used to take cuttings about end of July time and usually they rooted very well.

Never tried to take cuttings Lindak, may give it a go next year, as this is now very very potbound.....I am about to cut this one cak, just waiting for one more photo........then its off to the greenhouse with it.......

Milky:
I hope it will bloom for you this year outside!
Angel's Trumpet is the easiest plant to grow
from cuttings -- it can be started in water or
just put directly into the ground. Also,
Brugmansia tolerates their roots being cut
back drastically...as long as the top is cut
back at the same time.

Thanks for that information Andy, I shall certainly try a cutting or 2 in the Spring......I did flower, but has now been cut back and put away in the greenhouse for the winter. I shall remember what you said about the roots too as it is in an enormous pot, but still very rootbound....

Milky:
You're welcome! : > )
I shall be posting photos of all my Angel's
Trumpets soon...they should be blooming
in the next couple of weeks. They love the
cooler nights we've been having...especially
since we receieved rain.

Look forward to seeing them Andy......
