Is this a rare red Squirrel ?

Indeed it is....isn't he cute!

We have a small, sadly dwindling population on the North West coast. This was only the fourth time in 20years that I'd seen one in my (previous) garden.

So sad that you see them so rarely. Living where I do, a picture's as near as I'll get and this is a beauty ! :~)

hubby hates, shopping, gardening and walks lol especially in winter, infact he doesnt like much,,,, oh cars and sunny holidays heheh

I always thought my brother was telling porkies when he said he'd seen a red squirrell in his garden. I never knew they were in Southport, the squirrells that is, obviously I know my brother and family live there lol. Great shots Mw:-)

Hi Bornagain, next time you visit your brother, ask him to take you down to the squirell reserve at Formby - and don't forget to take your camera, you can get some close views there.
