First flowers started opening this week.

Janey, yours should look just like Simbad's. I check on mine (your baby's mother) today and its covered in flowers.

This is doing really well trouble is its planted in wrong place really, behind a lavateria, so have to remember to chop lavateria back after flowering so you can see this, don't really want to move it as seems to love it here.

My lavateria are still going strong, are yours Simbad. Do you cut yours right down after they've stopped flowering?

Mine finished a while ago Dawn, does get really windy here so usually cut them back by around a 3rd when they've finished flowering, then cut them right down to around a foot end of February, do the same with buddleias too.

They're quite brittle, arent they. Thanks for the info Simbad, I'll do that too.
