Thanks Sandra/Morgana. Its so frustrating when you dont know the variety isnt it. Some of the plants in my garden were my Dads, mainly from cuttings so its always a mystery what we have but thanks to the brilliant GOY members, it doesnt take long for them to be identified. So nice to see shrubs flowering at the end of November.

Smashing Dawn....and to have the flowers in Autumn too.....I have an ordinary Ceanothus growing well, it had been a 50p bargain as it was nearly dead, but it's come on a treat, I'm hoping for flowers next Spring....:o)

Lovely Dawn all my blue ones are spring flowering :-( Have you seen the pink flowered semi-evergreen one 'Marie Simon' , flowers summer,really pretty took some cuttings off mine this year only one took, do have one flower on it at moment in greenhouse, still trying to decide where to put it.

No, I havent seen the pink one Simbad - sounds lovely.
I like the ones with small, dark green leaves and have those really deep blue flowers.

Have a picture on my photos Dawn of the young one I grew from cutting, only couple of flowers on it but give you an idea what it looks like really is gorgeous, its under shrubs 3rd picture along :-)
I have a dark blue one don't know if its the one you mean flowers spring,grew this from a cutting too, passed it every time I went into town so one day broke a bit off, lol, have a picture of that under garden as well, on picture with Fudge on it.

I'll take a look at the pics Simbad - your'e like me, I'm a dab hand at snipping bits off plants. The parks are usually good places too. I broke a bit off someones Tamarisk in the summer, lol - well it was over hanging the footpath.

Dawn you vandal.......( you were pruning it were you not?)...this is a pretty one, and nice to have it flowering now when there are so few shrubs in flower at this time of the year.

Yes Dawn seeds cuttings anything,lol, pinched some seed from a park in London in October, went to see Mott the Hoople, don't know what the plant was the seeds are from but looked interesting so put them in a tissue, lol.

Ha ha, I remember my Dad saying he always had a plastic bag in his pocket for cuttings, I now I'm the same. Its good to share and spread!
