Does my grass look big in this ? !!!

Does my grass look big in this ? !!!

When the grass has firmly rooted down I'll give it some curves. (Watch the borders grow). You'll notice I've started to 'green up' the fence, but rain keeps stopping play - at least the turf won't dry out !!!

Coming along very nicely.

No Pimms till the painting is finished?

29 Nov, 2009

But it's medicinal for painters' elbow !!!

29 Nov, 2009

That looks wonderful can't wait till its finished and the roses are all in it will look buitiful are you going to place any flowering trees like a fine flowering blossom which could be trained across that back wall.

It's not very clear in the photo, but there are 3 Pyracantha and 2 climbing roses planted against the wall. When I was surfing the internet looking for wiring ideas, I came across a wonderful system called 'Gripple' - UV stabilised nylon 'wire' and adjustable grips. I will take some close up photos and post them on this page. Good stuff.

Will be interesting to see will look forward to it.

Such a difference from the first pictures Muddy ! Well done you ! But ... painter's elbow ??? lol !! ;~))

Yes please some pics of Gripple sounds as if it might be what I need? No medicinal qualities in Pimms - just a reward for hard work such as finishing that fence.

They're already there, but too small to see in this photo. 3 Pyracantha, 2 climbing roses (Blairii no.2 and Souvenir du Docteur Jamain) and a honeysuckle. Might add a clematis too if there's room (thanks Morgana). ;~)

You need lots of rain for that turf to take, MuddyW. It's all looking very neat.

Hi Elke, I had the sprinkler out the day after I laid the turf, but it seems to have rained almost every day since then !

I would love new turf laid in my garden....No matter what i do my grass never looks good..:<(

Well Motinot, I do like some grass in the garden, for the wildlife if not for me. Although, this garden is so small, I could have paving or gravel instead and enlarge the borders. Nah ! I think whatever the state of my grass, I would have to persevere with it !!! Maybe this year your lawn will surprise you. :-)
