Thank you everyone ! When I first saw it I wasn't sure what it was because it is so much shorter than the usual Orchids , it's only 8" high from the top of it's pot , they had several different colours to choose from ..
The label tells me that it flowers for 18-21 days , perhaps it's coming to the end of that time and so they wanted them out before xmas ! ........

It has a beautiful scent !

My friend had one given to her in April, it keeps blooming and blooming, so you may be surprised!

Thanks Barbara , the Cattleya is still in bloom so it's lasting well ..
I'm not sure what is going on with the Cymbidium , funny you should mention that as I was meaning to give it a close ' look at ' I haven't seen any flowers on it , I have purposely avoided looking in the greenhouse this last few days as it's so cold and freezing , it has bubble wrap inside also a heater that comes on when it freezes so i'm very reluctant to open the door letting the heat out .. I should have brought it out into the house sooner .......
