Could it be cotoneaster - weeping? or does it have thorns... this has no thorns!

Cotoneaster doesn't have thorns, so you are probably right. It looks lovely. The one with thorns is pyracantha. Happy Christmas to you :)

Thanks Gee and a very happy Christmas to you too! Have just posted todays photo of cotoneaster in snow - snow is still falling here! That's a golden berried pyracantha you can see on the fence behind it although it's yet to berry in 3 years... not sure why.

Just seen your latest photos, Cematisa, I think the snow is beautiful when it is untouched. No further snow here yet but everything is frozen. I keep putting water out for the birds but it doesn't stay ice-free for long :(
