I need to get one .... I have the pink summer flowering one like yours Maureen but like you say Amy, flowers in winter are special. I have a winter flowering cherry tree that's almost ready to burst into flower.

Some already making their first attempts Amy ..can just see a few shoots when clearing leaves. Great colourful splash ..

I can see some shoots as well BB .. There's going to be a competition to see who shouts first .. LOL...

The winter flowering cherry sounds gorgeous Dawn , we will look forward to a photo of that , it will keep us going for a bit longer ;o))

I have some plastic ones Amy ..so always happy to cheat a little ..

Threaten it Dawn .. tell it if cherry can flower now then whats its problem ?

Hopefully come February you ll start to see those early signs of flowering buds.

Blimey Ray, is it really almost 12 months since we were checking them last year. I'll have words with it and if it fails its on death's row, lol. You'll have to remind me what to look for in Feb. :-)

I ll remind you Dawn .. February the time to give it another prune .

Sorry Amy from Jasmine to Wisteria well at least I m keeping it garden related ...theres a first lol If you see buds in Feb keep them Dawn as should flower before leaves ..

I have Dawn , it's a beauty .. we didn't have any blooms in the beginning for 4/ 5 years we got fed up with waiting then Tony decided to prune it really hard and it did the trick the next year it was loaded with blooms .. it spreads above our front porch across the top about 12ft , I have a pic. on here somewhere !

Yours sounds lovely Amy, I think mine has been in for 3 years or so, therefore if it doesnt flower next year, I'll take your advice and it will have to have a good prune.

Such a splash of sunshine for these dark days......mine is still going strong...:o)

My Wisteria is like yours Dawn...its only 2 years old and has grown quite well, I pruned the whippy stems back in July......but still think it'll be a couple of years before the flowers come.

We'll have to compare progress Janey, BB says we need to look for buds in February.
