Crazy, arent they. I cant believe what your getting Maureen, you softy southerners arent accustomed to this weather. What's going on in Blackpool Sandra - any snow?

They have to keep those feathers in tip top condition to keep the cold out......but rather them than me brrrrrrrrrrrrr :~))

LOL.....A Polar Bear Swim for the birds. Well done. Great pic Milky.

Softy southerners ah! We in Essex are a hardy breed and can cope with anything even our gardens are still blooming under the snow. We at work have spent the last two days laying rock salt around two parks roads.

Here here Toto....You just wait Dawn...you'll get a share even if Toto and I transport it up to you and dump it on your doorstep he he he Lol

I thought it was Summer all year round in Essex :-)
I hope the park goers appreciated what you did Toto.

Been breakng ice of bird bath a couple of times this morning, very cold and frosty but no snow thank goodness.

19 Dec, 2009

BRRR wouldnt fancy that!

Great photo, and yes,so cold.Had to break the ice for our birds no less than six times throughout today.Just having another heavy fall of snow at the moment !

19 Dec, 2009

OH no Ray, not more snow. The warmest its been here all day is minus 1.5 - the rehydrated mealworms were freezing up immediately and my little robin was very puffed up and squatting when I fed him. :-((

19 Dec, 2009

Bless him! Our blackbirds were puffing out their feathers all day too.Good they can do that to help keep warm !

19 Dec, 2009

Poor things, and they're little legs are so thin, no meat on them to keep warm. I keep looking out but still no snow here.

19 Dec, 2009

Those poor little birds with their thin legs. At least it's good for conservation. If they had fat legs we would have roasted them.

Oh Toto....lol

19 Dec, 2009

Ha ha Toto, scarey thought but very true.

19 Dec, 2009
