I hope it clears soon Carole. It is so disruptive. Although we have no snow here the cold icy weather is making me feel depressed and I wish it would go away. I hope you are coping as best you can.
I don't even think it's pretty :o((

I do hope it doesn't spoil your Christmas, PP. I like snow but I think if I was in your place I would be fed up by now. Take care.

I know just what you mean,as we are just over the "Hill" (Pennines) from each other,as you know,Carole, and we have been shopping today, for the first time since Friday. We are only about 200 yds from the main road, which to be fair, has been kept open very well by our gritting teams,(glad its not my job),
but couldn't get the car round the corner and up the slope.I have just been
puttng lots of layers on,and walking to our local garage/co-op,for basics,so been ok.Mind you,it took me longer to put all the gear on,than to do the walking :o)) If you remember "the Michelin Man"advert....That was me!..Not a pretty sight.but nice and warm.It is nice and sunny today,so hope it is improving,as sadly we have to go to a Family funeral tomorrow at Diggle, near you Carole, then to Oldham, and back to the Cross Keys inn, which as you know is right at the top of the hill,by Saddleworth church.Awating info on that,as can't see it being gritted way up there, can you.?As long as we make it to one of the places,at least we will have paid our last respects to a much loved Auntie....Fingers crossed .x

Thanks everyone for all your understanding comments, seems that most of us are in similar situations, although we didnt get more snow last night and today has been bright and sunnny it has still caused lots of problems with the freezing temperatures. I was relieved when my Online shopping did arrive, but we then had to wait three quarters of an hour to get a bus to pick up the Turkey, when we reached the butchers we queued in the street for another half hour only to be told when our turn came that theTurkey Crowns were not available until tomorrow, eventually the Butcher promised to deliver it tomorrow to our home, which was such a relief as I couldnt face another day like today. We caught the bus for home but were all droppped off a mile away as it was too bad for bus to go any further, its the longest mile Ive ever walked! so glad to be home now nice and warm and its where Im staying till Boxing Day. lol

Oh Pp...you must be feeling so tired. We too are not moving now until Boxing Day.Just walking in this frozen snow is so difficult......x

A beautiful picture but I hope it cleared in time for you to do what you wanted at Christmas. We had nothing like that much here in Essex. Just about 4 or 5 inches last week Thursday/Friday but all gone now!
