Our view on Christmas Day!

Certainly did Hywel .. was a little hazy and warm outdoors but we managed to while away quite a few hours relaxing out on the patio. Hope you and Beryl had a fabulous Xmas Day and Boxing Day ... did it stay wet and mild for you over there?

Yes thank you, it was showery and the ground has thawed out now. - back to normal :o)

It was lovely thanks Carol ... quiet because our boys and grandkids couldn't make it ... but still we enjoyed the day by the beach!

Good for you, weather been so bad here been nowhere, first time for over 20yrs we had snow where i live and it was so slippy and icey i never went out for a few days, not very good at walking in it. Its al gone now thank goodness, so can get out and about again now, all the best for new year xx.

It's interesting ... you're getting such a great deal of snow and we're having such mild (well we think they're mild!) summer days right now. We've also started getting some rain already ... that's rather unusual so early in the summer as well. Seems like change is definitely in the air!

Sounds so cold BB! I don't know how I'd go in all the snow and frost. I'd most likely be all rugged up and in front of a fire or heater all day and night!!

Hi Gwen ... this island is only 8 kilometres off our front beach ... half an hour's ferry ride away. We so lucky that we have beaches around our city and an island just off the coast as well!

Yorkshire ... hope the snow and frost clears soon for you, although I suppose it will stay cold for a bit longer.

Yes Andy, that's one of the high ranges on the mainland that surrounds our city - this beach looks directly back to the eastern part of the mainland ... and it is a very, very relaxing spot!

lovely Bernieh, we had a white christmas [10inches of snow ] and it is still snowy and very icy. our car is stuck in front of house as road is so bad!!! it is nice to see all your photos. Happy New Year from Scotland x

Over here the gardening time is dwindling - most of the day is too hot and humid and now we've started getting rain ... very unusual for this time of year! I have to get my garden fix early in the morning and late in the evening.

Hi Heather ... no this is Nelly Bay. The ferries used to go to Picnic Bay all the time ... but since the apartment developments have been completed at Nelly, that's the only spot the ferries go to anymore! Picnic Bay has now become very quiet indeed.
