There seem to be a lot more of them about these days. I've seen lots of photos of them on Goy recently and I even spotted one in my garden in December and 3 in a nearby tree yesterday! I'm pleased they seem to be thriving, lovely little birds!

They will soon munch through that lot.

There have been between ten and fifteen of them the past couple of years but have only seen two so far this winter - I hope there are more at other's feeders!
Plenty more where that came from, Sixpence. :<)))

Wagger I had the same here last year, no noticed any return with the finches, nor none of the nigra seed had been touched then other day I was looking out back door there were loads at the seed a couple at the fat balls, so you never know, they might be visiting when you don't look.

I'll try looking with the eyes in the back of my head, Sixpence. :<)

Yes I know the feeling, I don't see them half the time, just notice the food going down.

It's as though they are attached to each other with a long length of elastic.
