How long will this last?

A kind GoYer (sorry I can't remember who) alerted everyone that a bird food company had some bargains online. I put in an order on Friday and the food arrived on Monday. Great service and I won't have to carry heavy packs of food back next time I go to town :)

There have been a few alerts Gee. However the food I put out 2 days ago has not been touched. It is now covered over with snow.

Gee which web site did you buy your bird food from?

13 Jan, 2010

It was Wildbirddirect.com, PP. The mealworms 1kg were on special offer (£10.99) and 12.5kg of seed for £6.50. I also bought a niger seed feeder, metal, for £4.99, the same price I paid for a plastic one a couple of weeks ago. There is a postal charge but I think its reasonable and, in spite of the weather, it arrived by courier when they said it would :)

You do have to wait in for delivery as it has to be signed for and the delivery 'window' was 9am to 6pm.

Those mealworms were certainly a good buy Gee..Caught our local supermarket trying to charge £6 99 for a 100 gram tub ! No chance.Got ours from Wilkos for 2 100 gram tubs for £4 just after Christmas....

You are going to be the favourite gourmet place for all the local birdies. You are very kind to them Gee. I bought a cylindrical fat/mealworm /peanut thingy from Homebase ,while the snow was still there, and none of the birds would go near, cos it was strange,so I took it down and moved it away. as it was so cold. Our neighbour came in with a 1/2 coconut full of fat I bet they ingore that as well. Bird food can be so expensive and birds fussy sometimes ,no matter what the weather is like.
