does she only have one leg Gee? i have a starling with a broken foot it makes me feel sad to watch it struggle

Yes, Sanbaz, she raised a brood in the spring with her mate, Freaky, and just after they fledged she arrived with the foot all loose and dangling. I didn't think she would make it but eventually the foot disappeared and she has been coping without it ever since. She is quite feisty and stands her ground against most other birds and I make sure they are fed several times a time, especially during this weather. She uses her wings to balance when landing. Hopefully your starling will survive and manage too, bless him.

Ah what sad stories .. it's amazing how they adapt and get on with life isn't it ........... I hope your starling makes it through Sandra !
