Lovely work, and an idea I will remember. Willow does well here. Great to use it constructively, someday, when I have my own place to work with.....lol.

OMG it did look good that year...afraid its all gone windward...still there but in need of chopping down and regrowing. :-(

can the willow be used even after it's been cut?

in this pic its all growing willow Fran. it grows 10 feet + in a year!!!! I use lots of the willow weaving. Every few years I cut it down and let it start again. This was probably 2 years growth since the last chop down.

wow, I'd never thought of a living willow structure as being a source of fresh material, that's another point in its favour!
