primula sieboldii dancing ladies

Lovely shade, I don't know why, do they flower for long? I wouldn't mind one or two. I'll google them. If you have them at Malvern I may be persuaded. Don't forget, look out for the mad woman with a jack russell on her head:-)

they flower for about 4 weeks depending on the weather die down in the summer so other thigs can grow over them that die down in the winter
They just are so colourful at that time of year

I've had a look on bbc plantfinder site and I think I've found the problem. It says they require (sic) well drained/light,moist soil. Where will I find this? lol:-) They're a nice height and I think I could be tempted to a small swathe on shady side:-) Perhaps you could say what their requirements are?? They are lovely:-) (We crossed in the ether lol)

Primula sieboldii grows well in a peat bed or any shady, moist but well drained position. As the ground starts to become dry in the summer, the plant dies back to an underground rhizome. Plants may be divided just as the leaves are emerging in the spring or after flowering. It is easily grown from seed.
Perfect companions for Heuchera, Hosta, epimediums, Hellebrores.

but I know they grow in these conditions as thats how I grow them! :)
