I have seen quite a few of them around the garden throughout the winter.

I thought they hid away during the cold weather??

they do but perhaps it is warm enough for him/her to get out and about. tis a good sign warmth on its way :o)

Very lively! I've several hiding among my camellia leaves/buds but no movement yet.

Bet he's gone back to bed today - also meaning the ladybird! LOL.

I found one while I was clearing the dead leaves yesterday, so picked it up and put it in an evergreen bush :)

That's good - they're around in time to gobble up any early aphids, aren't they!

Lovely.....I found a ladybird yesterday too....but he was still asleep in the middle of my Canterbury Bells that I was cleaning up.

How sensible of him. ;-)
