I took lots of cuttings but very few came through the winter, but pleased to say that these gerainiums have survived, they were beautiful with deep red flowers.

Good to see. Nice foliage too. I get by very well pulling them inside to a cool spot, water a little like the fuschias, and it sleep right through. Though I know no one is hoping for a colder next winter. :-) But I do change the soil, pull it and crumble some roots free, then give it new soil, helps clean up that fluffy issue. Do just when it looks to be waking up. You can make a 10% bleach rinse, use and rinse in then in pure water if you'd like, but I find the plant fights it off, once the soil is clean.

Thanks Jac sorry you lost yours, it is a bit hit and miss isnt it, especially with the cold temperatures we have had, better luck next time.
Thanks Green thumb for all you information, especially valuable knowing what kind of temperatures you have to contend with. I am going to do some seed sowing tomorrow, so will change the soil and pot some of the little fuschias on. ;0))
