And very pretty it is too......Do they normally take this long to flower.....was it a tiny seedling you found, or was it bought in?....sorry for lots of questions......lol

LOL. Alice, I bought two Hellebore plants - full sized - from a reputable Nursery over 4 years ago. This one has just sat there laughing at me, while the other one flowered in the following spring. I can tell you that three baby plants, the size of large plugplants, have taken just over 18 months to reach flowering size - they all have beautiful buds on them. (YAYY!) I seem to have the only garden in the UK where Hellebores (except H. foetidus) don't seed themselves! Boo hoo!

You will have to get the paint brush out not many bees or insects this time of year, have noticed a couple in the garden that flower later tend to set more seed.

I'm glad we all agree - lol. It has more buds to come, so it's making up for the last flower-less years. :-)))

Well, that's a beauty spritz - well worth the wait. I've just ordered a double lilac from crocus, and a double apricot! Hope mine is as pretty as this - gorgeous!

OK, I will!

That is really beautiful Spritz. You are not the only one who doesn't get seedlings from Hellebores other than foetidus. I shall be looking for some blue flowering H's this year.
