Did you have problems with it being bossy Arlene.

I would say so too, their grey head identifies them quite well.
Arlene, are they recognised as aggressive then ?
The group i had here, when the snow was here, weren't aggressive, the only aggressive things here are the Robins and they're awful .... dive bombing everything on the feeders, grrrr.

~ you should read one of my blogs Dawn~ he was a real pain! Louise he was very protective of the food~ I spent all day trying to make sure the other birds got some !

Sounds like you got a naughty one Arlene. It was the blackbirds that were chasing the fieldfare away - they wanted the apples to themselves.

~my blackbirds love the suet pellets and mealworms and were being chased all over the garden by Freddie Fieldfare who was quite large and very bossy~ funny that my robins are never bossy~seem particularly timid and don't have that much aggression even when there are two males there~I think we have quite a few from the same family~

I've never had them in my garden until this Winter Eileen - like you, it was the apples that brought them in.

I would say so Eileen. I had them in my garden last month, eating the apples on the ground. Was this one about the size of a thrush?
