Crocus 'Ruby Giant'

Beautiful Louise. I set some in the Autumn last year after you commented about this variety in your blog. Mine are only just coming up though - can't wait for them to look like this.

Lovely colour Louise, I did have some yellow ones but blackbirds used to decimate them as soon as they opened, must get some more not yellow though,lol.

Naughty blackbirds Kathy! I've just ordered some more (ordinary) crocuses - in the green - £8 for 100 :-)

Yes mine were just ordinary ones Dawn, wonder why the blackbirds do that must think its another blackbird maybe yellow beak ?. Thats a good buy never bought crocus in the green, just bulbs.

Hi Kathy, Doctorbob put a photo up of a yellow crocus the other day, saying the birds had destroyed others - he said they love to eat them. I've asked if its just the yellow ones they like - how annoying.

Just lovely - such a relief to see colour emerging, though so far, all we've had are the aconites, not even crocus yet.

They 'are' lovely aren't they ?
I'm so pleased i got these last year, i'll get more of this one too - for next year !

Lovely, my crocus are just leaves, no buds yet. Things to come!

My Tulips are all leaf at the moment, no sign of a bud there either :-/

i have some small yellow ones out but that is all right now. a lovely colour so cheerful
