The Liatris is sprouting. I was worried it wouldn't get cool enough indoors to produce flowers this year, so I placed the pot in the refrigerator for a month in January. So far so good.

It does sound like I put in seed.....lol. It has double in size!
It fit just right in the crisper drawer, so just below the milk and yogurts....lol. I just realized yesterday I've a little fridge I don't use that would work perfect for many cold treatments next year....lol.

I was hoping next year you'd take a pic of the Liatris, all cosy in the fridge, below the milk and yogurts. Lol.

How come you didn't just pop it outside the door? Or was it even colder outside than in the fridge???

I'll have to get a shot in the fridge, I didn't even think of that! :-)
I was afraid a stop outside would kill them going from house to -20F. They just need a chill next to freezing to bloom again. I knew the fridge wouldn't shock them.

I suspected it might be colder outside the door of your house than inside the door of your fridge! LOL! :-D
