I hope he calls again Amy. No idea where he came from, I've been outside all day and when I went in around 4pm I noticed him through the kitchen window. Trouble is, if Bonnie saw him, she would chase him away. He hung around for a while, I dont know what he wanted at one point I thought he was eyeing up my crocus.

Very handsome fellow. They scare me to death the way they scoot halfway across our roads and then decide to go back again - and I'm not even driving :)

He is lovely Dawn. You are getting such a wide variety of birds in your garden now !

Thanks Bob.
Gee: I know what you mean, at a certain time of year, they always seem to be in the road.
Ray/Jane: I feel like yourselves, the more the merrier. I thought about you the other day as I saw a nut hatch on a tree - the first time I've ever seen one and as it was in the garden Im so chuffed. The woodpeckers have visited the two holes they chipped out in the willow tree these last few days too.

Thats great news about your woodpeckers Dawn. What fun you will have watching the comings and goings if they nest !

He might have been eyeing the crocus Dawn , mine had the flowers picked out and were laying beside the plants and someone else said a Pheasant will do that ...
I had forgotten about Bonnie , she will think it's fun to chase it off .. :o(

We have one too Dawn, thinks he's so cool, fluffing up his feathers all the time, ours has a creamy coloured crown around the top of his head, very strange, must try and get a picture, wakes me every morning at the crack of dawn, lol.

Ha Ha Janey, I think I saw his missus yesterday in the field.
Kathy, Maybe yours is a young one like Amys Fred, who needs an alarm clock with him around.
