Great replacement. Looks very happy.

Ah - but this plant is a new one, Homebird, so the Nursery would have brought them on in a tunnel, I think.

Otherwise, yes, I think you'd be right.

Another lovely plant.

Thanks. I just hope it survives the winter - it isn't as hardy as its predecessor, so I'm told.

Yes it looks fresh and vibrant, ;0)

Very pretty, have just planted Erysimum Gold Dust..do you know it?

23 Mar, 2010

No - maybe it's hardier than these, do you know? I had 'Walberton's Fragrant Sunshine' or something in there before, and thay lasted three years.

It was a case of 'do I or don't I' when I saw this one. The Walberton looked DREADFUL - so I did! lol.

They do get scruffy after a few years, OH usually takes cuttings so we pull out the old and in with the new.......

24 Mar, 2010

I really, really haven't got any more space for cuttings as well as seedlings, which are already all over every shelf in BOTH g'houses - with more to come!

When does he take them by the way?

24 Mar, 2010

OH says you can take them now!!! put in cutting compost and cover with plastic bag in a frost free place.

I don't think I could find any suitable pieces on these new plants - but I could have a look. Thanks OH!!

Will do, ours is still too small to take any cuttings, have just seen a very pretty apricot one.....

Is that 'Apricot Delight' aka 'Apricot Twist'? That's the other one I have in the back garden. It's a 'must' for me. :-)

30 Mar, 2010
