Did the metal part once belong to a washing machine, by any chance? This has me intrigued.!

It split in half about 4yrs ago Sandra and when we cut it down the trunk was hollow on the inside, I have replaced it with another one as I do like my plums.
David it is in fact an old wheel off a railway carriage, hubby has sunk it in the trunk so we do not have any mishaps as its very heavy, its my bit of creativity,lol....
