Native primroses.

Native primroses. (Primula vulgaris (Native primrose))

Believe it or not - these are both 'wild' primroses!

Oh, the top one looks wild but the bottom one is really not what you would expect is it. It's very beautiful. They look well together. Your plants are on the train.

Thanks, Karen - that's good news!

I have lots of primroses - and they've obviously been up to no good, as some are pink, all shades, right through to this deep red one - and I didn't plant ANY of them! :-))

Oh, I see now, they are breeding! Well, it's wonderful when you get a lovely surprise like that! Two winters ago I bought a pack of six hellebores from dobbies and its wonderful to see the colours that they have turned out to be as they are all flowering this year. I'm going to pot up some of the seedlings too and see what comes along!

I've got seedlings for the first time this year! I've been moaning that I don't get any - but I have now, so I'll be potting mine up, as well. :-)))

It's possible - or maybe the wind scattered the seeds. I seem to have primrose plants all over the place! :-)

I agree - so I leave them be, or transplant them if they're in completely unsuitable places. :-)
